Covered freight cars
Multi-purpose covered cars or wagon trails are meant for the transportation of unitised and palletised cargo that needs to be protected from precipitation.

Open-top cars
Multi-purpose hatched cars are meant for the transportation of bulk goods and palletised or piece cargo that does not require protection from precipitation. The open-top car or open-top trail wagon body is fitted with unloading gates, whose doors form the floor. The car is unloaded through unloading gates or by means of a car dumper.
Open-top wood chip cars
These open-top cars, or in other words, open train wagons are meant for the transportation of wood chips and other light weight cargo.
Lumber flat cars
Flat cars are designed for the transportation of lumber, which does not require protection from precipitation. Flat cars are equipped with end walls and metal side posts without tie-down chains.
Tank cars
Tank cars are meant for the transportation of light and heavy petroleum products.
LHCG tank cars
These tank cars are designed for the transportation of liquefied hydrocarbon gases (propane, butane, butane-propane fraction).

DAUGAVPILS LOCOMOTIVE REPAIR PLANT

Repair operations are performed at the Daugavpils Locomotive Repair Plant (DLRR), owned by Skinest Rail. The enterprise was founded in the city of Daugavpils, Latvia, in 1866 as the central locomotive and rail car repair workshop. In 1965, the plant was fully renovated in order to provide the necessary conditions to overhaul locomotives.

The company specialises in depot repairs, intermediate maintenance and complete overhauls of all types of locomotives, works aimed at extending the service life of rolling stock, and various types of modernisation. The DLRR performs repair and modernisation (including the interior modernisation) of D1 and DR1 DMU diesel trains, as well as trains ER2 and ER9 EMU electric. It also manufactures spare parts for the needs of railway transport.

In cooperation with the DLRR, Skinest Rail provides complete rolling stock overhaul and modernisation services.
